There are other safe alternatives to Trick-or-Treating.    Many schools, recreation centers, churches, religious organizations and civic groups throughout the country offer supervised Halloween caravels, costume contests, games and special activities. 

Still others might decide to throw a block party with fun and safe games, pumpkin carving contests, spook houses and a host of other activities.  You can be as creative as your imagination will allow.

Another idea is to throw a party at your house inviting friends from school, neighbors, etc.
