Begin by bending both of your knees and bringing both of your hands up between your opponent's arms. Place the radius bone of your right hand solidly against your opponent's inner left wrist, and the radius bone of your left hand solidly against your opponent's right inner bend of the elbow. (1) Step back with your right foot and drive your right hand back behind your right ear. At the same time, drive your left hand forward away from your body. This escape should be done as a snapping motion. (2) Once the hold has been released, push off your back leg (your right leg) and deliver a quick straight reverse punch with your right fist into your opponent's face. Be careful to maintain your balance at all times.
4. Front Choke Release, One Hand Double-Block Method, Strike to Nose
Your opponent wraps both of his hands around your throat and applies a choke directly to your wind pipe. When a choke is applied, your air flow is restricted and you will pass out. This hold is referred to as a front choke.
Begin by bringing your right hand up between your opponent's arms. (1) Take a step toward your left with your left foot at the same time you are blocking his right arm off with your right forearm. Make sure that you keep your knees bent at all times to maintain a strong presence of balance. (2) Without moving your feet, block to the right (outside) with your right hand, knocking your opponent's left hand off your throat. (3) At this point deliver a hammer blow directly into your opponent's nose. Finish up by stepping away from your opponent.
5. Front Choke Release, Finger Takedown, Stand Opponent Up
Your opponent wraps both of his hands around your throat and applies a choke directly to your wind pipe. When a choke is applied, your air flow is restricted and you will pass out. This hold is referred to as a front choke.
Begin by intercepting the attempted choke by inserting your right thumb between your opponent's left ring and middle fingers, and your left thumb between your opponent's right ring and middle fingers. (1) Circle your hands up so that the knuckles on both hands are pointing upward. Extend the middle fingers on each hand and touch the lower joint of both of your opponent's middle fingers. (2) Step in toward your opponent with your right foot and drive your opponent straight down to his knees by dropping both of your hands, middle finger first. (3) Once your opponent has dropped to his knees, turn your hands over so that both of your palms are facing upward. Lift straight up leading with your middle fingers and stand your opponent back up maintaining control of him at all times.
